Are you Concerned about the state of your local park[s] or green space[s]?
Are your local football pitches and recreation grounds under threat of development?
Are you concerned about the future of your local canals, commons, wetlands, parks, football pitches and other public spaces?
Then would you be interested in talking to other like minded individuals to discuss how we can work together constructively and creatively to safeguard these vital resources for ourselves and our children? Come along and let's spread news of our successes and how we got there.
The date for this wee get-together is Sunday the 6th of August, 2006, at the George's X Chalkboard, 34 Clarendon Place, St George's Cross, Woodside, probably commencing about 12pm.
The programme for the day is currently relatively open and if anyone has any suggestions for any short presentations or something they'd like to see discussed then please email me at the address above, or bob@citystrolls.com . We'd be especially interested to hear from people who've had positive successes in their communities, or anyone who wants to help with the planning for the event.
The idea is to bring together people from across the city to discuss these issues, hopefully with a wide degree of levels of involvement in their own local green spaces so that we can have fruitful conversations and begin to network across the city.
Best wishes, and hope to see you all on the 8th!
Cheers now! Nick Georges X Chalkboard
